Role & responsibilities. MM Business Core Team member - Roles and Responsibilities Business Core Team Member plays a critical bridge role between the business and the project/IT team. Representing the Material Management module (functional area) to ensure the solution supports real business needs. The Material Management module includes the following major business processes. : •Master data: Material master, Vendor master, Service master, Purchasing Info Record, Source List. Procurement: Procurement of stock items, non-stock items, Service procurement, Domestic/ imports procurement, RFQ/ quotation/ contracts, Purchase release strategy, Subcontracting, Consumption based planning. Inventory Management: Goods receipt (procurement/ production/ transfer), Goods issue (to production/ cost center/ scrap etc.), Transfer posting, Stock transfer, Physical inventory, Inventory reports, goods return to vendor, Batch Management. Invoice verification: Verification of incoming invoice (for material and service procurement), Posting of delivery cost (planned/ unplanned), Credit notes Subsequent debit/ credit • Integrations P2P portal, GST portal, QR code based physical inventory and Material issue & receipt, etc. To act as:. The voice of the business • Decision-makers for process-related topics • Approvers of system design choices Key Responsibilities by Project Phase Participate in project kick-off. Discovery Workshop (As-Is) • Provide current process overview. Identify pain points in existing ECC system. Help define scope and priorities. Discovery Workshop (To-Be) This is the most critical phase for business core team members. Responsibilities: • Attend fit-to-standard workshops • Review SAP best practices • Identify gaps between current processes and SAP standard • Decide: Adopt standard Enhance Change business process Avoid unnecessary customization. 3. Realization Phase • Validate configuration settings CSF: SAP S4HANA Implementation • Participate/Support/Co-ordinate in/for: Unit testing Integration testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) • Help define master data requirements • Review reports, forms, workflows 4. Go-Live Preparatory activities • Support cutover planning • Validate data migration results • Support end-user training Key Deliverables A Business Core Team Member contributes to: • Business Blueprint (BBP) preparation, review and sign-off • Business Process Design (BPD) documents • Functional specifications • Required inputs for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) • Data cleansing and validation • Test scripts and test result documentation • End-user training material.
