SAP Interface Developer

Bahwan CyberTek is hiring a SAP Interface Developer in Chennai, a role centered specifically on building and maintaining the technical connections between SAP and external systems rather than functional configuration or pure application development work. You will design, develop, and maintain SAP interfaces using the full range of standard SAP integration technologies, including IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs for direct SAP-to-SAP or SAP-to-external system communication. Building integrations with middleware platforms extends this work beyond point-to-point connections into more complex, mediated integration scenarios using SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI. Monitoring and troubleshooting interface issues is an ongoing operational responsibility once interfaces are live in production, requiring familiarity with debugging tools to diagnose failures quickly.

This role requires 3-8 years of SAP interface development experience with strong hands-on skills across IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and ALE/EDI technologies. Practical experience with SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI middleware platforms is essential for complex, mediated integration scenarios. Strong REST and SOAP API development skills are needed, alongside XML and JSON data format proficiency. Traditional EDI knowledge is required for legacy integration scenarios still common in enterprise environments. Familiarity with Git for version control and Postman for API testing is expected. Strong monitoring and debugging skills are essential for troubleshooting interface issues once solutions are live in production.
