Job Description
This SAP ABAP Professional role at Matchpoint Solutions is a fully remote position built around deep technical diagnostics rather than routine development. You will work extensively with OO ABAP, BAdIs, and user exits on S/4HANA, applying Clean Core principles to keep custom code upgrade-safe. A significant part of the role involves OData and RAP development alongside SAP BTP and CAP-based extensions, occasionally touching Node.js, Java, OAuth2, and XSUAA for cloud-side integration work. You will build and support IDoc, RFC, and BAPI interfaces, work with REST/SOAP and CPI for integration scenarios, and use ST22, ST05, SAT, and SM37 for performance and dump analysis.
Requirements
Candidates need 2-6 years of ABAP experience with genuine comfort diagnosing production issues using ST22, ST05, SAT, and SM37 rather than only writing new code. Hands-on OData/RAP development experience is required, along with working knowledge of SAP BTP and CAP; prior exposure to Node.js, Java, OAuth2, or XSUAA is a strong plus given the extension-focused nature of the role. Experience with gCTS and Git-based transport pipelines is expected, since this team has moved away from traditional transport management. Functional grounding in SD, FI/CO, or MM is necessary to interpret business requirements accurately during troubleshooting.
