SAP ABAP BTP Consultant

This SAP ABAP BTP Consultant role at Yash Technologies, based in Pune, focuses specifically on building cloud-compliant ABAP applications for SAP Business Technology Platform. You will design and develop RAP-based services following Clean Core principles, ensuring custom logic remains upgrade-safe within an S/4HANA Public Cloud environment rather than relying on classic on-premise extension patterns. Work extends to CDS Views and OData services that power both backend logic and Fiori-based frontends. You will participate in end-to-end implementation projects from initial design through go-live, collaborating closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into BTP-compliant technical solutions. This role suits developers who are comfortable working exclusively within modern, cloud-first SAP development patterns rather than maintaining older ECC-style custom code.

Candidates need 2-6 years of ABAP experience with specific, demonstrable exposure to SAP BTP and RAP-based development, since this role does not involve classic ABAP extension patterns. Strong command of Object-Oriented ABAP is required, along with practical experience building CDS Views and OData services for S/4HANA Public Cloud environments. Familiarity with Clean Core principles is essential, as the client has explicitly moved away from core modifications in favor of side-by-side extensibility on BTP. Fiori exposure is valuable since much of the RAP-based work ultimately surfaces through Fiori apps.
