SAP Module: SAP BASIS Roles & Responsibilities: A Day in Your Life at MKS: As an SAP Basis Architect at MKS, you will partner with IT and internal teams to support, design, implement, and maintain SAP systems across MKS's global SAP landscape. In this role, you will report to the SAP Basis Manager. * Partnering with peers across the IT organization to solve complex business problems and lead the development of high-level solution options and technical approaches. * Leading technical initiatives such as infrastructure refreshes, data center migrations, and disaster recovery solutions * Developing SAP infrastructure and application project plans and ensuring delivery of technical milestones established by application delivery managers. * Driving technical innovation by evaluating and recommending SAP technologies and related products. * Playing a hands-on role in troubleshooting and resolving significant system issues, including performance bottlenecks and stability concerns. * Balancing workload between architecture and project activities (approximately 80%) and operational support activities (approximately 20%). * Managing multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills. * SAP certification in SAP Basis, SAP HANA, or related SAP technologies. * Experience with SAP cloud integration and hybrid landscape architectures. * Knowledge of automation, monitoring, and orchestration tools used in SAP operations. * Experience leading offshore technical teams and third-party service providers. * Strong understanding of ITIL processes, change management, and enterprise operational governance. * Ability to work in an office or remote environment using standard computer equipment. * Ability to sit for extended periods while performing technical and analytical work. * Occasional participation in after-hours maintenance activities, system upgrades, and production support events. * May require participation in on-call support rotations for critical SAP production environments.
