Sr. Technical Specialist / Expert (SAP Data Retention Archiving)

Colgate Palmolive is hiring a Senior Technical Specialist or Expert in Mumbai to lead data archiving and retention initiatives across its SAP S/4HANA landscape, with particular focus on the Materials Management, Production Planning, Quality Management, and Sales and Distribution supply chain modules. You will manage SAP Information Lifecycle Management compliance, ensuring data retention practices satisfy GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulatory frameworks governing how long different data categories must be retained or can be purged. Deep expertise in the Archive Development Kit and ArchiveLink is essential, alongside OpenText integration for document archiving. Handling both support incidents and larger project implementations is expected, requiring the technical depth to diagnose complex archiving issues and contribute to strategic data tiering initiatives.

Candidates need 8+ years of SAP experience with deep, specific expertise in SAP Archiving using ADK and ArchiveLink, alongside strong understanding of Information Lifecycle Management principles. Familiarity with GDPR and CCPA regulatory requirements is essential, given the compliance-driven nature of this data retention role. Experience integrating with OpenText for document archiving is required, along with solid working knowledge of MM, PP, QM, and SD supply chain modules on S/4HANA. ABAP proficiency supports custom archiving object development where standard functionality is insufficient. Strong incident handling and project implementation experience are both expected at this senior level.
