Job Title: SAP EWM & TM Lead Company: HCLTech Job Category: SAP EWM Roles & Responsibilities: SAP EWM \& TM Lead We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP EWM \& TM Lead Consultant to provide functional leadership, solution governance, and L2/L3 application support for a mission\-critical SAP AMS engagement supporting a customer in the UAE. The consultant will own the stability, integration, enhancement, and continual improvement of end\-to\-end warehouse and transportation processes across SAP S/4HANA, Extended Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management. The role requires deep hands\-on configuration expertise, strong logistics domain knowledge, disciplined IT service management, client\-facing leadership, and the ability to operate within a secure, confidential, and highly controlled environment. Key Responsibilities * Lead end\-to\-end functional ownership and L2/L3 support for SAP EWM and SAP TM within the agreed AMS scope. * Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and change requests in line with contractual SLAs, severity models, escalation procedures, and customer priorities. * Provide hands\-on configuration and troubleshooting for EWM processes including inbound, outbound, internal movements, putaway, picking, packing, replenishment, wave management, physical inventory, cross\-docking, kitting, staging, yard management, labor management, resource management, RF, barcode/RFID, handling units, batch and serial\-number management, and warehouse monitoring. * Configure and support TM processes including transportation demand and order management, freight units, planning and optimization, carrier selection, tendering, freight orders and bookings, execution, track\-and\-trace, charge calculation, settlement, dispute management, and transportation analytics. * Own integration between EWM and TM, including Advanced Shipping and Receiving, delivery\-based and order\-based transportation processes, loading and unloading, yard activities, transportation units, and execution status synchronization. * Ensure seamless integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, FI/CO, GTS, PM, PS, Fiori, Business Network for Logistics, and approved third\-party warehouse, carrier, fleet, GPS, automation, and logistics systems. * Lead major\-incident diagnosis, service restoration, root\-cause analysis, problem records, known\-error documentation, and permanent corrective and preventive actions. * Manage the full lifecycle of enhancements and change requests: requirements, impact assessment, estimation, solution design, functional specifications, configuration, testing, deployment, and post\-release validation. * Plan and govern unit, integration, regression, performance, and user\-acceptance testing; maintain traceable evidence and secure business sign\-off. * Review transports, release plans, cutover activities, deployment readiness, rollback procedures, and production validation to minimize operational disruption. * Monitor interfaces, queues, application logs, background jobs, warehouse and transportation exceptions, and performance trends; drive resilient, supportable solutions. * Lead service reviews and provide accurate reporting on SLA/KPI performance, backlog, ageing, recurring issues, risks, capacity, change quality, and improvement initiatives. * Maintain solution designs, configuration records, functional specifications, interface mappings, SOPs, runbooks, test evidence, knowledge articles, and audit\-ready support records. * Coordinate onsite and offshore EWM, TM, ABAP, integration, Basis, security, infrastructure, testing, and business teams in a multi\-vendor environment. * Mentor consultants, assign and review work, enforce quality standards, conduct knowledge transfer, and build sustainable support capability. * Participate in on\-call and after\-hours support for priority incidents, critical logistics operations, releases, and planned maintenance as required. * 15–18 years of overall SAP consulting experience, with deep and recent hands\-on expertise in SAP EWM and SAP TM. * Proven experience leading complex SAP AMS engagements, including L2/L3 support, minor enhancements, problem management, change control, release management, and SLA\-driven delivery. * Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA embedded or decentralized EWM and embedded or standalone TM in large, integrated enterprise landscapes. * Demonstrated configuration expertise across advanced warehousing and transportation planning, execution, settlement, monitoring, and exception\-management processes. * Strong understanding of the end\-to\-end logistics lifecycle from procurement and production supply through warehouse execution, transportation, delivery, settlement, and returns. * Experience integrating EWM and TM with SAP and non\-SAP systems using qRFC, CIF where applicable, IDocs, APIs, web services, SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, and event\-based integration. * Working knowledge of Fiori applications, role design, monitoring tools, SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy. * Practical knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, change, release, knowledge, service\-level, and continual\-improvement processes. * Strong capability in solution governance, fit\-gap analysis, estimation, functional design, testing, transport management, and production stabilization. * Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, decision\-making, documentation, and leadership skills. * Ability to work independently under pressure and coordinate multicultural onsite\-offshore teams across business and technical functions. * Comply strictly with customer security policies, UAE regulatory requirements, information\-classification rules, confidentiality obligations, least\-privilege access, segregation of duties, and controlled change procedures. * Protect sensitive logistics, asset, inventory, location, supplier, carrier, route, fleet, maintenance, and operational information using approved systems, communication channels, and delivery locations only. * Maintain complete traceability for incidents, privileged access, configuration changes, approvals, testing, transports, releases, and production activities. * Support secure access reviews, audit evidence collection, vulnerability remediation, business\-continuity exercises, and disaster\-recovery validation where required. * Demonstrate awareness of logistics requirements such as controlled materials, serialized assets, restricted storage, chain of custody, secure transport, traceability, and mission\-critical availability. * Be willing and eligible to undergo customer\-mandated background verification, security screening, and clearance processes, where applicable. * Work from customer\-approved UAE or delivery locations and align with UAE business hours, support calendars, travel, and on\-call requirements. * Fluency in English is mandatory; Experience: 15\+ Years Required Experience and Expertise Education and Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. * Current SAP certification in SAP S/4HANA EWM, SAP S/4HANA TM, or both is strongly preferred. * ITIL Foundation or higher certification is preferred. * Prior experience supporting, aerospace, aviation, government, critical infrastructure, engineering, or other security\-sensitive customers is highly desirable. * Experience with Advanced Shipping and Receiving, Yard Logistics, Business Network for Logistics, Global Track and Trace, warehouse automation, mobile/RF solutions, and logistics analytics is advantageous. * Exposure to SAP Activate, Agile delivery, clean\-core principles, SAP BTP, Signavio, and automation of support and monitoring activities is preferred.
