SAP ABAP RAP Consultant

As an SAP ABAP RAP Consultant, you will design and develop cutting-edge SAP applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) within S/4HANA environments. Your daily responsibilities include creating and maintaining CDS Views, defining Business Objects and Behavior Definitions, and developing OData services to support Fiori applications. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. The role involves implementing Clean Core principles, minimizing core modifications, and ensuring compliance with SAP extensibility standards. You will perform code reviews, unit testing, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables. Additionally, you will support enhancements and integrations while building cloud-ready ABAP solutions.

The ideal candidate must possess 8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience with strong expertise in the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). Required skills include proficiency in CDS Views, Behavior Definitions, Business Objects, Service Bindings, and OData Services development. Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and Clean Core principles is essential. Candidates should have experience in performance tuning, debugging, and code optimization. Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently are necessary. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, Fiori/UI5 development, and experience with integration technologies and APIs.
