ABOUT THIS ROLE. Own SEPL's complete purchase function reduce Landed Material Cost (LMC) year on year, ensure zero line stoppages due to material shortage, achieve supplier OTDIF above 98%, and maintain inventory days at or below 18. Lead a team of purchase and stores executives across both plants and be the strategic interface between SEPL and its supplier base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Reduce LMC (Landed Material Cost) year on year negotiate better rates, qualify alternative suppliers, support value engineering with Design team. LMC reduction % YOY is the primary financial KPI. Manage dual procurement system: (1) SOQ + ROL pull system for runner and C-category items, (2) weekly MRP run in EIA ERP for all other items. ¢ Ensure zero production line stoppages due to material shortage daily morning check of critical material levels. ¢ Achieve supplier OTDIF above 98% follow up systematically, issue corrective actions to underperforming suppliers. ¢ Maintain inventory days at or below 18 avoid over-ordering while ensuring no shortage. ¢ Develop and qualify 2 new approved vendors per quarter reduce single-source dependency for high-spend materials. ¢ Maintain supplier satisfaction above 90% pay on time, communicate clearly, treat suppliers as partners. ¢ Manage jobwork vendors ensure child parts dispatched and returned on time. ¢ Supervise purchase team guide SCM Executive (MRP), Purchase & Stores Executives, and Jobwork Executive. ¢ Report LMC trend, inventory days, and supplier performance monthly to SCM / ERP Manager.
