Job Description
Role & responsibilities. Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Lead. Job Summary. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Engineer - Purchase to support procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials and services. Key Responsibilities. Create, process, and track Purchase Orders (POs) through SAP MM. Coordinate with internal departments to understand material and service requirements. Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers and vendors. Evaluate vendor quotations based on quality, cost, delivery timelines, and technical compliance. Support procurement activities including supplier selection and order placement. Conduct commercial discussions and assist in price negotiations to achieve cost savings. Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers. Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and ensure timely procurement of materials. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in SAP. Assist in onboarding new vendors and managing vendor performance. Resolve issues related to material shortages, delayed deliveries, and invoice discrepancies. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, or related discipline). 0-2 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain functions. Basic to intermediate knowledge of SAP MM (Materials Management) module. Understanding of procurement processes, purchase cycle, and vendor management.
