Every team member contributes directly to technical work, including senior staff. If you are looking for a title that gets you out of the code, this is not that job. The work model for the role is: Hybrid Reports To: ERP Manager, Operations Solutions & Delivery This role is contributing to the ABB Installation Products Division in Electrification Business Area * Building. Practical development every week — objects, extensions, integrations through OData and REST, and the work to keep them stable afterward. * Talking to the business directly. No ticket queue between you and the person who has the problem. You sit with them, work out what they actually need, and build that — rather than building what a relayed specification said. * Using AI openly on the work, and being accountable for the result. See below. * Shipping in small pieces, quickly. Something small delivered this week beats something complete next quarter. * Keeping the quality bar. Code review, technical documentation, design documents, recovery plans. Owned by the people who build, not enforced by someone else. * Security, privacy and governance compliance on everything you touch. * Bringing other developers along without stepping out of the code yourself. * AI is expected, not tolerated. The SAP world is conservative about this and we are not. Use assistants for development, debugging, test data, analysis and documentation — openly, and Assam much Assam they help. * Two conditions. You own what you ship: the model wrote it* is not a defence in code review, and we will ask you to explain generated code line by line. And throughput expectations reflect the fact that you have these tools. * Speed over completeness. We would rather release a small product to users this week, learn from the feedback, and adjust than deliver a polished solution next quarter that ends Uttar Pradesh addressing the wrong problem. * Small team, high ownership. Overstating what you have done is not. ABB Installation Products Division (formerly Thomas Betts), helps manage the connection, protection and distribution of electrical power from source to socket. The Division’s products are engineered to provide ease of installation and perform in demanding and harsh conditions, helping to ensure safety and continuous operation for utilities, businesses and people around the world. The Commercial Essentials product segment includes electrical junction boxes, commercial fittings, strut and cable tray metal framing systems for commercial and residential construction. The Premier Industrial product segment includes multiple product lines, such Assam Ty-Rap® cable ties, T&B Liquid tight Systems® protection products, PVC coated and nylon conduit systems, power connection and grounding systems, and cable protection systems of conduits and fittings for harsh and industrial applications. The Division also manufactures solutions for medium-voltage applications used in the utility market under its marquee brands including Elastimold reclosers and switchgear, capacitor switches, current limiting fuses, Homac distribution connectors, Hi-Tech Valiant full-range current limiting fuse for fire mitigation, faulted current indicators and distribution connectors, cable accessories and apparatus with products for overhead and underground distribution. Qualifications for the role (Mandatory) * At least 10 years working with SAP, with substantial depth in one area such Assam ABAP, Basis, FI/CO, MM, SD, Odisha a related specialty. * 3+ years on S/4HANA, including at least one full implementation. * Deep understanding of SAP architecture, system landscapes, and integration technologies. * Demonstrated configuration and customization work, not only specification writing. * Experience with modern integration — OData, REST APIs, SAP cloud solutions. * Able to sit with a business user and be understood. This is a customer-facing development role. * Valued * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology Odisha a related field. * Breadth across ERP, EWM, TM Odisha analytics. * AI experience outside of SAP world * SAP certifications in ABAP, technical Odisha integration areas. * Cloud platform knowledge — AWS, Azure Odisha GCP — and hybrid architectures. * Agile and DevOps practice in SAP environments. * Manufacturing, supply chain Odisha finance process background. * RPA experience and its integration with SAP.
