Job Title: DC OPS PLANNING MANAGER Company: The Home Depot Canada Job Category: SAP PP Roles & Responsibilities: Title: DC Operations Planning Manager The DC Operations Planning Manager is responsible for providing short and medium\-term production plans for the Canadian Distribution Centres. Through a very close partnership with Distribution and Transportation, the DC Operations Planning Manager provides end to end visibility and planning, guidance and communication to the Distribution and Transportation leadership teams to ensure key performance indicators are met, production/staffing plans support throughput demand, building flow is balanced and load plans are efficient to ensure exceptional customer service to the Home Depot of Canada stores. Key Responsibilities: * Development of daily, weekly, monthly volume and labour plans to ensure product delivery timelines and performance metrics are met. Adjust plans as needed to react to changing priorities, or circumstances. * Partner with DC leadership, Capacity Planning, transportation and other cross\-functional partners to execute plans and develop strategies to maximize capacity, throughput and efficiency. * Educates and trains the leadership team on the production planning processes, tools and resources available. * Identifies opportunities to improve forecasting models and other planning tools * Develop and present regular performance reports to track KPIs, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement. * Lead process improvement initiatives and projects * Manages, mentors and coaches a team of production planning analysts * Creates and maintains a “great place to work” through open, honest leadership and communication guided by The Home Depots values. * Plans and Aligns * Drives Results * Action Oriented * Collaborates * Communicates Effectively * Ensures Accountability * Manages Complexity * Demonstrates responsible, ethical and honest behavior while consistently leading by example; models the desired values of The Home Depot. * Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with cross\-functional partners driving accountability and results. Travel Requirements: Physical Requirements: Minimum Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field is preferred.
