Data Scientist (Document AI)

The Data Scientist will lead innovation in document intelligence, OCR, and agentic AI systems, designing and fine-tuning large language models and multimodal pipelines to parse, structure, and reason over complex engineering documents. Responsibilities include architecting and deploying agentic AI pipelines, developing and productionising OCR workflows, fine-tuning LLMs and vision-language models for structured extraction, implementing Human-in-the-Loop validation workflows, collaborating with engineering teams to integrate models into production APIs, and defining KPIs and evaluating model performance. The role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment, contributing to end-to-end project delivery and continuous process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will engage closely with business stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into robust, production-ready data solutions that support long-term organizational growth.

5-8 years of hands-on experience in ML, computer vision, or document AI. Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow). Expertise in OCR frameworks, LLM fine-tuning, and multimodal RAG pipelines. Solid grounding in classical ML and statistical methods. Hands-on with SQL and big data tools. B.Tech/B.E. in AI/ML. Prior experience working in global delivery models, along with exposure to Agile methodologies, will be considered an added advantage. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
