Job Title: Technical Product Manager Company: TransUnion Job Category: Data Science Roles & Responsibilities: The Technical Platform Manager (TPM) is responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, adoption, governance, and delivery of enterprise platform services that enable secure, scalable, and efficient software development and infrastructure operations across the organization. This role partners with platform service owners, engineering leaders, architecture, security, compliance, cloud engineering, and application development teams to define platform capabilities, establish operational excellence standards, drive platform adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The TPM serves as a strategic leader who balances platform scalability, reliability, security, developer experience, and cost optimization while ensuring enterprise platform services continue to meet evolving business and technology needs. Platform domains may include Data Ingestion, Data Quality, ETL, Web Applications, Observability, Infrastructure Automation, PKI and Certificate Lifecycle Management , Developer Tooling, and Internal Developer Platforms. Role Overview And Core Responsibilities Data Platform Strategy \& Roadmap Management * Drive adoption of enterprise data platform capabilities across internal and external consumers. * Develop deep understanding of data providers, operational users, analytics teams, product teams, and application consumers. * Establish feedback loops with stakeholders to continuously improve data acquisition, correction, fulfilment, and data access experiences. * Measure and report product adoption, service utilisation, customer satisfaction, data quality improvements, and business value realization. * Champion self\-service capabilities that enable data onboarding, monitoring, corrections, and operational management with minimal engineering intervention. * Define and maintain operational frameworks governing data ingestion, validation, correction, retention, distribution, and lifecycle management. * Establish KPIs and success metrics across: + Data Availability + Pipeline Throughput + Data Freshness + Data Accuracy + Data Completeness + Data Quality Scores + Operational SLA Compliance + Customer Adoption + Platform Reliability * Partner with Security, Risk, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise policies and regulatory obligations. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational resilience, platform scalability, automation, and reduction of manual intervention. * Drive root\-cause analysis and corrective actions for data quality, performance, and availability incidents. Product Delivery \& Program Leadership Cross\-Functional Leadership * Coordinate initiatives involving: + Enterprise Architecture + Data Architecture + Information Security + Regulatory \& Compliance Teams + Data Governance + Analytics \& Data Science + Cloud \& Infrastructure Engineering + Application Development Teams + Business Product Owners + Operations \& Support Organizations * Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities. * Influence enterprise\-wide decisions regarding data architecture, governance frameworks, platform standards, and operating models. * Act as the primary product leader for enterprise data platform capabilities and strategic modernization initiatives. * 8\+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Technical Program Manager, Platform Product Manager, or equivalent leadership role. * 5\+ years of experience delivering enterprise\-scale data platforms, data products, ingestion services, or data management solutions. * Experience defining and executing data platform strategy, roadmap development, adoption plans, and product lifecycle management. * Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems including: + Data Acquisition + Data Ingestion + Data Quality Management + Data Correction Workflows + Master Data Management + Data Distribution + Data Governance * Experience working with both real\-time and batch processing architectures. * Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture patterns including: + Event\-driven architecture + Streaming platforms + Data pipelines + API\-driven integrations + Data products * Experience managing products supporting multiple internal and external customers. * Experience establishing and reporting product KPIs and operational metrics. * Proven ability to influence executive leadership, engineering organizations, and business stakeholders. * Demonstrated success delivering large\-scale, highly regulated, enterprise data initiatives. * Strong ownership mindset with experience managing risks, dependencies, and commitments across multiple delivery teams. * Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple geographies and time zones. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills. * * Enterprise Data Platforms and Data Warehousing concepts. * Data Ingestion Technologies including: + Kafka + CDC Platforms + Streaming Solutions + ETL/ELT Frameworks + Event\-Driven Architectures * Enterprise databases including: + PostgreSQL + SQL Server + Oracle + NoSQL Technologies * Caching and low\-latency data access platforms: + Redis + Distributed Caching Platforms + In\-memory Data Technologies * API Management and Data Services: + REST + gRPC + Event APIs + Data Service Layers * Cloud platforms: + AWS + Azure + GCP * Data Quality and Observability platforms. * Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage concepts. * Agile delivery tools including Jira, Confluence, and enterprise planning platforms. * Experience supporting enterprise credit, risk, fraud, identity, or financial data ecosystems. * Knowledge of consumer, commercial, fraud, or alternative data acquisition and fulfilment processes. * Experience with data correction and dispute management platforms. * Experience with Data Mesh, Data Product, or Data\-as\-a\-Service operating models. * Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks governing data management and consumer information. * Experience leading enterprise data modernization, cloud migration, or platform transformation initiatives. * Experience presenting platform strategy, data quality trends, adoption metrics, and business outcomes to senior executive leadership.
