Job Title: SENIOR TEST ENGINEER Company: Coforge Job Category: Python Developer Roles & Responsibilities: #### Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and execute API test cases based on business and technical requirements. * Perform functional, integration, regression, and end\-to\-end testing of RESTful and SOAP APIs. * Validate request/response payloads, HTTP status codes, headers, authentication, and data integrity. * Develop and maintain automated API test scripts using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, or similar frameworks. * Perform database validation using SQL queries to verify backend data. * Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and identify test scenarios. * Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test data, and test execution reports. * Track, log, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. * Execute API performance and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. * Validate API security mechanisms, including OAuth, JWT, API Keys, and authentication/authorization workflows. * Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and retrospectives. * Ensure adherence to testing standards, best practices, and quality processes. * Analytical and problem\-solving skills. * Strong communication and stakeholder management. * Attention to detail and quality\-focused mindset. * Ability to work independently and within cross\-functional teams. * Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. * Strong understanding of API testing concepts and web services architecture. * Hands\-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs. * Experience using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, or similar API testing tools. * Knowledge of API automation frameworks such as Rest Assured, Karate, or Postman Collections/Newman. * Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation. * Experience with SQL and relational databases. * Familiarity with JSON, XML, and API schema validation. * Experience with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. * Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. * Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. * Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter. * Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Experience with API security testing. * Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. * ISTQB or relevant testing certification is a plus. #### Educational Qualification * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
