Job Title: Senior Software Engineer II Company: RELX Group Job Category: Data Science Roles & Responsibilities: Generally, the team is form in Squad where each squad consist of Squad Lead, Business Analyst, Dev lead, Developers and Testers. This Squad structure provides more connectivity among team members and allows us to deliver faster as all resources work as one group on dedicated tasks. About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building, maintaining, and improving critical data and platform solutions that support business operations and customer outcomes. Working within a cross\-functional squad, you will collaborate with developers, analysts, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and high\-performing solutions while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities * Build and maintain the software solutions assigned to team. * Troubleshoot issues reported by the customers. * Participate in knowledge sharing sessions with the wider group. * Contribute to the planning efforts with analysis and estimation of the proposed product work. * Provide support to other teams. * Contribute to the continuous improvement effort. * Must have expertise in Python Programming language with Strong knowledge on the platform areas like Databricks/Airflow/PostgreSQL / databases/ Snowflake/ Kafka/CI/CD and GitHub repositories. * Good understanding on AWS / infrastructure. * Keep track of the health and ongoing work around our main platforms and services. * Coordinate with Analysts/infrastructure/support teams when issues arise and monitor important platform changes and platform related risks. * Check support/operational channels for anything requiring attention and review or participate in discussions around architecture, implementation approaches, and technical trade\-offs. * Stakeholder Coordination \- Coordinate with Product, Data Science, SRE, Platform and other dependent teams. * Coordinate upcoming work with other teams where there are dependencies. * Documentation \& Knowledge Sharing \- Ensure important technical decisions and operational procedures are documented.
