Job Title: Senior SAP Technical Consultant – S/4HANA, BTP & Agentic AI Company: Salt Job Category: SAP ABAP Roles & Responsibilities: 🚀 8\+ years of hands\-on SAP technical development We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP Technical Consultant to join a major enterprise transformation programme in Abu Dhabi, focusing on SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SuccessFactors extensions and Agentic AI development. This is a hands\-on engineering role, ideal for someone who combines deep SAP technical development expertise with modern cloud technologies, enterprise integrations and practical AI engineering experience. You will play a key role in developing scalable, secure and upgrade\-safe SAP solutions while enabling AI\-driven automation across Finance and HR systems. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop and maintain custom SAP solutions across S/4HANA, SuccessFactors and SAP BTP. * Build modern ABAP applications using RAP, CDS Views, ABAP Objects and OData services . * Develop clean\-core SAP extensions using BTP, released APIs, BAdIs and enhancement frameworks. * Build and maintain SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and custom user interfaces. * Develop integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration (CPI), APIs and event\-driven architectures . * Design and implement workflow automation, approval processes and business rules. * Develop AI\-enabled SAP capabilities, including Agentic AI, LLM integrations, MCP servers and AI\-powered workflows . * Build enterprise AI solutions using retrieval\-augmented generation (RAG), vector search and governed AI tools. * Support SAP S/4HANA upgrades, custom code remediation and technical optimisation. * Own the full development lifecycle, from technical design and coding through testing, deployment and production support. * Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Integration, Security and AI engineering teams. * 8\+ years of hands\-on SAP technical development experience , including SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades or migrations. * Strong expertise in ABAP on S/4HANA, RAP, CDS Views, ABAP Objects and OData v2/v4 . * Proven experience with SAP clean\-core principles and extensibility frameworks. * Hands\-on development experience with SAP BTP , including CAP, Cloud Foundry or Kyma, and HANA Cloud. * Strong SAP Integration Suite/CPI experience, including iFlows, Groovy scripting, API Management and integration patterns. * Experience developing SAP Fiori Elements and SAPUI5 applications. * Practical AI engineering experience, including LLM API integration, RAG, prompt engineering and tool/function calling. * Understanding of Agentic AI architecture, orchestration, security and governance. * Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript or Java alongside ABAP. * Experience with Git, automated testing, secure coding and production deployment. * SAP SuccessFactors technical extensions and integrations. * Model Context Protocol (MCP) server development and agent\-facing tool design. * SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, Joule or SAP AI Business Services. * SAP HANA Cloud vector engine and enterprise AI retrieval solutions. * SAP Build Process Automation, BRF\+ and workflow development. * Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA version upgrades and clean\-core remediation. * Experience working within government, regulated or large enterprise environments. * Previous UAE or GCC project delivery experience. We are particularly interested in candidates who are genuinely hands\-on developers , rather than purely functional consultants, architects or project managers. You should be comfortable writing production\-quality code, solving complex integration challenges and developing AI\-enabled solutions that interact securely with enterprise SAP systems.
