Senior SAP Data Migration Architect

Job Title: Senior SAP Data Migration Architect Company: adesso India Job Category: SAP ABAP Roles & Responsibilities: YOUR ROLE * Migration architecture: You design migration strategies and technical concepts for complex SAP landscapes with one or more source systems, from extraction to reconciliation. * Approach and tools: You evaluate and select the right approach and tools, such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, SNP Kyano (CrystalBridge), Natuvion DCS or SAP Business Transformation Center. * Data quality: Together with the business, you define data ownership, cleansing and quality rules, so the data actually works in the target processes and doesn’t just load without errors. * Technical leadership: You lead migration teams or workstreams, make architectural decisions, review mapping and transformation logic, set development standards and mentor your colleagues. * Quality and cutover: You define validation and reconciliation procedures and steer test migrations, dress rehearsals and the production cutover through to go live. * Compliance: You ensure data separation, anonymization and compliance, especially in carve out and M\&A scenarios. * Customer advisory: You are the customer’s technical point of contact and turn business requirements into migration solutions that work in practice. * Innovation: You develop our migration methodology, reusable frameworks and automation further, including the use of AI for mapping suggestions, data profiling and test automation. * Several years of experience in SAP data migration, including at least two complex migration or transformation projects that you took through to go live as the technical lead. * Proven experience leading migration teams or workstreams and making architectural decisions. * Deep understanding of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA data models, especially FI/CO, MM and SD, including Business Partner conversion (CVI). * Practical experience with at least one established migration tool, such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, SNP Kyano or Natuvion DCS. * Solid ABAP and SQL skills, enough to review, assess and optimize extraction and transformation logic. * Strong expertise in data mapping, data quality, validation and reconciliation. * Very good English and confident communication with business stakeholders and management * Experience with Selective Data Transition, system consolidations or carve outs * Migrations to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or RISE with SAP, including Clean Core principles * Knowledge of SAP MDG, SAP ILM or SAP Business Transformation Center * Large programs with multiple source systems or international rollouts * Experience building migration frameworks, automation or AI use cases in data migration Work Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Availability: Full time
