Job Title: Senior Data Engineer - AI and Data Science Engineer III Company: Deloitte Job Category: Machine Learning Roles & Responsibilities: About the Role Key Responsibilities * Design, build, and maintain batch data pipelines using SQL, Python, and PySpark to ingest, transform, and serve fan, sponsorship, ticketing, CRM, and commercial datasets * Design and develop reusable ETL/ELT frameworks, define design patterns and coding standards, and guide Consultant-level engineers in applying them * Define and implement data quality checks, validation routines, and lineage documentation that make data assets trustworthy for product use * Design data models and schemas that support analytics, machine learning, and agentic product features, and review models and schemas developed by others * Own deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of pipelines in production, working with application engineering and DevOps teams on CI/CD and observability, and lead resolution of production issues Lead and Develop Others * Break down work, estimate, and coordinate delivery for a small group of engineers, and escalate risks early * Represent engineering in conversations with US-based product and engineering leaders, and communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical stakeholders Reports to Li-Shen Lee. Provides day-to-day technical guidance to Consultant-level data engineers.
