Role Description The Senior AI Engineer role is a full\-time hybrid position based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for partial work from home. In this role, the engineer designs, develops, and deploys AI and machine learning solutions that support operational efficiency for financial and enterprise clients. Day\-to\-day responsibilities include building and optimizing models, integrating AI agents into existing systems, and collaborating with product, engineering, and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The engineer will also review data pipelines, ensure model governance and compliance, monitor performance in production, and drive continuous improvement of AI capabilities. This role involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to architecture decisions, and promoting best practices in AI engineering and responsible AI. Qualifications * Strong skills in AI and machine learning engineering, including model design, training, evaluation, and deployment. * Experience with software engineering practices such as version control, code reviews, testing, and scalable system design. * Proficiency in working with data pipelines, data preprocessing, and integration of AI solutions into production environments. * Ability to collaborate with cross\-functional teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly. * Background in designing AI solutions with a focus on governance, security, compliance, and reliability. * Experience working on solutions for financial services, insurance, or large enterprise operations is an advantage. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. * Demonstrated ability to mentor others, lead technical initiatives, and operate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
