Senior Accountant – Contracting Company

Job Title: Senior Accountant – Contracting Company Company: Euro Systems SAP Module: SAP Ariba Roles & Responsibilities: About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing accounting operations, monitoring project financial performance, and providing accurate financial reports and insights to support management decision-making. Key Responsibilities * Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL). * Handle project accounting, project cost tracking, budget monitoring, and cost control. * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. * Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and payment schedules. * Prepare and review VAT returns in compliance with ZATCA regulations. * Manage supplier payments, customer collections, and outstanding receivables. * Coordinate with external auditors and prepare supporting audit schedules and documentation. * Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian accounting standards, financial regulations, and tax requirements. * Prepare management information system (MIS) reports, project cost reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. * Maintain accurate financial records, accounting documentation, and internal controls. * Identify financial discrepancies, analyze project expenditures, and recommend corrective actions. * Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability assessments. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Minimum 7–10 years of accounting experience, preferably within a contracting or construction company. * Strong knowledge of project accounting, project costing, and cost control. * Practical experience with Saudi VAT, ZATCA compliance, and local financial regulations. * Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems; SAP experience is preferred. * Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, cash flow management, and audit procedures. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict reporting deadlines. * Strong communication skills and attention to detail. * Candidates available to join immediately will be preferred. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with proven experience managing accounting functions for construction or contracting projects in Saudi Arabia, particularly those familiar with project budgets, subcontractor payments, supplier accounts, and project profitability, will be highly preferred.
