SAP Project Manager

Job Title: SAP Project Manager Company: CGI SAP Module: SAP FICO Roles & Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced SAP Lead with strong expertise in SAP SD, MM, or FICO and good technical knowledge to lead SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, integration, and support initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for providing functional leadership, solution guidance, technical coordination, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight across SAP projects. The role requires close collaboration with business users, functional consultants, technical teams, developers, integration teams, and other SAP workstreams. Your future duties and responsibilities SAP Functional Leadership * Provide functional leadership in SAP SD, MM, or FICO. * Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions. * Lead requirement gathering, business process analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. * Review existing business processes and recommend SAP best practices. * Provide guidance to functional consultants and development teams. * Ensure integration of SD/MM/FICO processes with other SAP modules and third-party applications. * Participate in solution design and review Functional Specifications (FS). * Ensure solutions are aligned with business requirements and SAP standards. SAP Implementation & Delivery * Lead SAP implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, enhancement, and support activities. * Manage activities across the complete SAP project lifecycle. * Coordinate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, ABAP developers, integration teams, Basis teams, and other technical teams. * Support project planning, estimation, resource allocation, timelines, and delivery tracking. * Identify and resolve functional and technical issues. * Manage risks, dependencies, defects, and escalations. * Support production deployment, cutover, hypercare, and transition to support teams. * Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture and integration concepts. * Good knowledge of SAP interfaces, IDocs, RFCs, APIs, web services, and third-party integrations. * Good understanding of ABAP technical concepts, including debugging, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, reports, interfaces, and custom developments. * Ability to work closely with ABAP developers and review technical solutions. * Understanding of SAP integration with external systems. * Knowledge of SAP Fiori and S/4HANA technical architecture. * Exposure to SAP BTP, CPI/Integration Suite, APIs, and cloud-based integrations is an advantage. * Ability to troubleshoot functional issues by analyzing technical objects, logs, interfaces, and error messages. Testing & Production Support * Lead and coordinate Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and defect resolution. * Review test scenarios and ensure adequate business-process coverage. * Coordinate defect analysis between functional and technical teams. * Support production deployments and cutover activities. * Provide functional and technical support during hypercare. * Analyze production issues and coordinate root-cause analysis. * Ensure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and support transition. Stakeholder & Team Management * Act as a key point of contact between business stakeholders and SAP delivery teams. * Communicate effectively with business users, senior management, clients, and technical teams. * Lead and mentor SAP functional consultants and team members. * Coordinate with onsite/offshore and geographically distributed teams. * Conduct requirement discussions, solution reviews, status meetings, and issue-resolution meetings. * Manage vendor and third-party coordination when required. * 1-3 years of experience. * Strong expertise in at least one of the following modules: * SAP SD * SAP MM * SAP FICO * Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business processes. * Experience in SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and/or production support. * Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA. * Experience working with cross-functional SAP modules. * Strong requirement gathering and solution-design experience. * Ability to lead functional teams and provide solution guidance. * Good understanding of SAP technical architecture. * Good knowledge of: * ABAP concepts * Debugging * User Exits * BAdIs * Enhancements * IDocs * RFC * APIs * Web Services * SAP Interfaces * Third-party integrations * Good understanding of integration between SAP and external applications. * Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications and S/4HANA architecture. * Ability to coordinate effectively with ABAP, Basis, Integration, Security, and other technical teams. Leadership & Delivery * Experience leading SAP functional teams or workstreams. * Strong stakeholder management skills. * Experience handling client/business interactions. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering solutions within agreed timelines. * Strong communication and presentation skills.
