Job Description
SAP Retail SME (with SAP MM or SAP SD). Experience: 10-12 years. About the role. Act as the retail process authority for the programme - own retail master data, retail integration and the end-to-end retail MM and SD flows, and guide the wider team on design and solutioning decisions. Project experience required. Must have worked on at least two SAP implementation or migration projects, end to end. Must have worked on retail projects, with a core skill in either SAP MM or SAP SD. Exposure to implementation, migration or conversion, and rollout projects is preferred, along with the operational view that comes from supporting a live retail landscape. Should have owned design and solutioning decisions, not only configuration to a given design. Business process and functional knowledge. Retail master data - article master in all its types (single, generic and variant, structured, display, set, prepack), merchandise category hierarchy, and the characteristics and class structure behind it. Site and organisational master data - stores and distribution centres, site groups, site profiles, and the organisational structure behind a retail landscape. Assortment management - assortment types, listing conditions, layout modules, and assortment to site assignment. Retail pricing - sales price calculation, pricing worksheets, price lists, margin control, and price activation to stores and POS. Promotion and markdown management - promotion planning, promotion pricing, markdown planning and their downstream impact on POS and finance. Allocation and merchandise distribution - allocation tables, push and pull flows, cross-docking and flow-through. Replenishment - store and DC replenishment, requirement calculation, and the interaction with purchasing and inventory. Store operations integration - outbound article, price and promotion data to POS, and inbound sales, inventory and cash data back into SAP. Physical inventory and shrink management across stores and DCs. Retail Integration - the end-to-end data and process flow across the retail landscape and the third-party systems around it. Retail MM and SD flows covering configuration, design and solutioning. Knowledge of SAP data retention and archiving, and of what drives a retention decision in a high-volume environment. Technical knowledge. Master data load and mass maintenance - migration tooling, mass change, and the practical limits of each when dealing with large article and site volumes. Interfaces used for master data distribution and for POS inbound and outbound, and the ability to troubleshoot them. Working knowledge of the key retail tables and how article, site, assortment and listing data is stored and linked. Able to write functional specifications and review technical designs for retail-specific enhancements. Able to assess a design for scalability - data volume, batch windows, and the impact of store or article growth on the solution. This is a great opportunity to build a career in the SAP MM domain. Interested candidates looking to grow in SAP MM are encouraged to apply. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world SAP MM projects.
