About the RoleWe are seeking an SAP Finance Consultant to join our growing SAP and Digital Transformation practice in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong SAP Finance expertise, a passion for business process design, and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology.The successful candidate will work closely with finance SME’s, and project teams to design and implement finance solutions enabled by SAP S/4HANA. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, including process assessment, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment. Key ResponsibilitiesFinance Process Design & Transformation. Support finance process workshops to understand current-state and future-state business requirements. Design and optimise end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes. Support finance transformation initiatives including:. General Ledger. Accounts Payable. Accounts Receivable. Asset Accounting. Cost Centre Accounting. Internal Orders. Product Costing. Profitability Analysis. Project Systems integration. Develop business process maps, functional specifications, solution designs, and business blueprints. SAP Solution Delivery. Configure SAP Finance (FI/CO) solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Support data migration, testing, cutover planning, and go-live activities. Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Hypercare support. Assist in issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement. Engage effectively with Finance SME’s and Process Owners. Translate business requirements into practical SAP solutions. Prepare and support the delivery of workshops, demonstrations, training sessions, and executive updates. Build trusted relationships with clients and project teams. Required ExperienceEssential. 5–10 years of SAP Finance consulting experience. Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO. Experience participating in at least 1-2 end-to-end SAP implementation or transformation programs. Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes. Experience facilitating business process design workshops. Ability to translate business requirements into functional solution designs. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred. SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience. Finance business process experience with SAP Signavio. Experience within consulting or professional services environments. Experience in utilities, resources, transport, government, telecommunications, or financial services industries. QualificationsEssential. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline. Highly Desirable. CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification. SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification. SAP Activate or project delivery certification. Personal Attributes. Strong business process mindset. Client-first approach with excellent consulting skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams. Comfortable engaging with both finance and technology stakeholders. Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
