SAP FICO Controlling Lead / Consultant. Experience: 10-20 Years. Remote , EST time zone. Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred/required. Specialization: SAP FICO Strong Focus on Controlling (CO). Job Summary. We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO professional with strong expertise in SAP Controlling (CO) and a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP CO implementation, configuration, integration, and business process transformation, along with a strong understanding of financial accounting and management accounting. The role will involve working closely with business and finance stakeholders to design and implement effective controlling solutions, improve financial processes, and provide strategic insights through SAP.

Key Responsibilities:. Lead SAP FICO initiatives with a strong focus on SAP Controlling (CO). Design, configure, and implement SAP CO solutions aligned with business and finance requirements. Work on Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), and Cost Object Controlling. Manage planning, budgeting, forecasting, allocations, assessments, settlements, and period-end closing processes. Configure and support standard and actual costing, product cost planning, cost component structures, and variance analysis. Work extensively on CO-PA / Profitability Analysis, including profitability reporting and margin analysis. Ensure seamless integration between SAP CO and FI, MM, SD, PP, and other SAP modules. Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions and functional specifications. Support SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling transformation initiatives. Lead or support SAP implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations, and production support activities. Work with finance leadership and business users to identify process improvements and automation opportunities. Provide guidance to functional teams and coordinate with technical/ABAP teams for developments and integrations. Manage testing, defect resolution, UAT, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization. Support month-end/year-end closing activities and resolve complex controlling issues. Prepare functional documentation, process flows, configuration documents, and user training materials. Required Skills & Experience:. 10–20 years of overall experience with significant experience in SAP FICO. Strong hands-on experience in SAP CO / Controlling. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA, budgeting, planning, allocations, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of financial accounting and management accounting principles. Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling is highly desirable. Good understanding of integration between FI, CO, MM, SD, and PP. Experience in at least one or more full-cycle SAP implementations/rollouts. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to independently lead complex SAP CO requirements and work with senior finance stakeholders. Preferred Profile. The ideal candidate would be a CA + SAP FICO professional who has moved beyond purely transactional FI work and has significant experience in Controlling, management accounting, costing, profitability analysis, budgeting, and financial planning.
