JD:. Position Summary. Senior-level SAP FICO Consultant responsible for leading functional design, configuration, implementation and support of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions. The role drives end-to-end finance transformations, ensures compliance with Colombian statutory requirements, mentors junior consultants, and acts as the primary finance subject-matter-expert for projects and production support across regional and global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities. Lead requirement workshops with finance, controlling and tax stakeholders to define solutions aligned with business objectives. Design and configure FI and CO processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Internal Orders and Product Costing. Architect and validate end-to-end integration scenarios between FI/CO and MM, SD, PP, and other modules or third-party systems. Develop functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces and reports; coordinate with ABAP and technical teams during build and transport cycles. Lead data migration strategy and execution for master and transactional data (mapping, cleansing, LSMW/BDC/DTM/IDoc or modern ETL approaches). Drive testing activities: unit, integration, regression and UAT; prepare test plans and ensure quality of deliverables. Oversee golive planning and hypercare support; resolve complex production incidents and perform root cause analysis. Ensure finance process design meets Colombian statutory, tax and reporting requirements including VAT, withholding tax, einvoicing considerations and DIAN compliance where applicable. Provide governance for change control, release management and documentation of configuration, process flows and policies. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level FICO consultants; review deliverables and facilitate knowledge transfer. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives: process optimization, automation, and use of S/4HANA finance innovations (Central Finance, New GL, Universal Journal). Support stakeholder communication, project status reporting and alignment with business transformation objectives. Required Qualifications. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field. Minimum of nine years of hands-on SAP FICO experience in implementations, rollouts or large-scale support engagements. Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations preferred; strong ECC experience acceptable. Deep knowledge of FI modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banks) and CO modules (CCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, COPA). Strong understanding of business finance processes, month-end close, reconciliations and internal controls. Experience with data migration, integration technologies (IDoc, BAPI, APIs) and reporting solutions. Familiarity with Colombian statutory/tax requirements and local reporting processes. Professional proficiency in Spanish and strong technical/business English for documentation and collaboration with global teams. Availability for periodic after-hours work during month-end closings, go-lives and critical support windows. Preferred Qualifications. SAP certifications in FI, CO or S/4HANA Finance. Experience with Central Finance, Financial Closing Cockpit, or SAP Fiori finance apps. Knowledge of tax and electronic invoicing regulations in Colombia and Latin America. Familiarity with reporting/analytics tools (SAP BW, SAC, S/4HANA embedded analytics) and basic SQL. Experience with Agile/SAP Activate methodology and DevOps practices for finance solutions. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior business stakeholders. Solid documentation and training delivery skills for business users. Proactive mindset with focus on process controls, compliance and continuous improvement. Certifications (Desirable). SAP Certified Application Associate — Financial Accounting with SAP S/4HANA. SAP Certified Application Associate — Management Accounting (CO). Relevant local tax or finance certifications.
