SAP Basis HANA Consultant

This SAP Basis HANA Consultant role at Tata Consultancy Services involves administering, monitoring, and maintaining SAP landscapes including ECC, BW, CRM, PI/PO, Solution Manager, and S/4HANA. You will perform SAP installations, upgrades, refreshes, kernel upgrades, and patching activities. Daily responsibilities include managing SAP HANA database administration including backups, recovery, replication, and performance tuning, executing system copies and client copies, and monitoring system health and performance. You will implement SAP security recommendations, configure High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, and manage transport management. The role requires troubleshooting and resolving SAP Basis and HANA-related incidents, supporting SAP migrations to S/4HANA and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and collaborating with functional, development, infrastructure, and security teams.

The ideal candidate must have 7-10 years of experience as a SAP Basis HANA Consultant with expertise in SAP ECC, BW, CRM, S/4HANA, and HANA database administration. Required skills include kernel upgrades, system copies, client copies, backups, recovery, replication, performance tuning, transport management, SSL certificate management, Unicode conversion, and OS/DB migration. Any graduate degree is acceptable. Prior experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to internal knowledge repositories will also be viewed favorably. A strong customer-first attitude and willingness to travel to client locations as needed will be an added advantage for this role.
