SAP Basis Engineer

Job Title: SAP Basis Engineer Company: Persistent Job Category: SAP BASIS Roles & Responsibilities: Job Description * Support SAP ECC, SAP NetWeaver, SAP BW, and related SAP systems. * Perform health checks and performance tuning. * Manage transports across SAP landscapes. * Monitor work processes, system logs, short dumps, and background jobs. * Execute client copies, system refreshes, kernel upgrades, and support package implementations. * Manage SAP start/stop activities and system maintenance. * Support backup and restore activities. * Troubleshoot RFC, spool, performance, and connectivity issues. * Support SAP workloads deployed on AWS. * Monitor AWS infrastructure using CloudWatch. * Manage EC2, EBS, IAM, and backup services. * Support CI/CD deployment activities. * Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell/Python). * Participate in infrastructure provisioning and operational automation. Incident \& Change Management * Handle production incidents and service requests. * Participate in root cause analysis and problem management. * Execute changes following ITIL processes. * Provide on\-call and weekend support when required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage SAP environments effectively while leveraging AWS and DevOps methodologies. You will be proactive in identifying and resolving issues, ensuring optimal performance and availability of SAP systems.
