BASIS – Application & DB sizing, third party middle ware, profile parameters, system transport route management, Logon load balancing, support pack level and upgrades, alert configuration, server scalability and reliability process System Administration & Monitoring Need to know how to install, configure, and maintain SAP systems. * Work Process Management: Checking system health and stopping frozen tasks. * Profile Parameters: Adjusting system memory and CPU settings. * Spool Administration: Setting up printers and managing print queues. Database and Storage Management Transport Management System (TMS) In SAP, developers build changes in a "Development" system. You must safely move these changes to "Quality Assurance" and "Production" systems without breaking anything. Security and Authorization Management * User Management: Creating and deleting user accounts. * Role Management: Setting up permissions (using PFCG ) so people can only see the data they need to do their jobs. 5. Patch and Upgrade Management * Kernels: The core programs of the SAP system. * Support Packages: Software fixes from SAP. * Dump Analysis: Reading error logs to find bugs. * Background Jobs: Monitoring automated tasks so they do not slow down the system.
