SAP ABAP Developer

Polymed is hiring an SAP ABAP Developer across its Ballabhgarh, Palwal, and Faridabad locations to develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, and Smart Forms supporting the organization's internal SAP landscape. You will build data migration and conversion routines using BDC and LSMW techniques, alongside custom transaction screens through Module Pool Programming where standard SAP functionality falls short of business needs. Close collaboration with functional consultants is central to the role, ensuring technical development stays grounded in genuine business requirements rather than isolated coding work. Supporting testing and debugging efforts helps catch issues before they affect production, and maintaining clear technical documentation ensures custom developments remain maintainable for future support and enhancement work.

Candidates need 1-5 years of SAP ABAP development experience, with practical skills in Smart Forms development and data migration techniques including BDC and LSMW. Module Pool Programming experience is valuable for building custom transaction screens beyond standard SAP capabilities. Strong debugging skills and attention to performance optimization are essential, given the hands-on production support nature of this role. Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. in Information Technology, a B.C.A., or an MCA, and be comfortable collaborating closely with functional consultants while documenting custom developments clearly for ongoing maintainability.
