SAP ABAP Developer

This SAP ABAP Developer role with a leading client involves designing, coding, and testing ABAP programs, interfaces, and reports to support business requirements. You will work on various ABAP objects including reports, function modules, forms (SAPscript/SmartForms), and classes using Object‑Oriented ABAP. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining integrations using RFCs, IDocs, and Web Services. You will analyze functional specifications and translate them into technical designs, enhance and optimize existing code for performance, and conduct unit testing. You will also provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues. The role demands deep understanding of the ABAP development environment and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field with 4+ years of experience as an ABAP developer on SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA. Strong proficiency in ABAP programming (including OO ABAP), CDS Views, AMDP, and integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, Web Services) is required. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills are essential. SAP ABAP certification and experience with OData/Gateway and Fiori/UI5 are preferred. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, are essential.
