SAP ABAP Contractor

This SAP ABAP Contractor role at Birlasoft involves designing, developing, and implementing ABAP programs and solutions to meet business requirements. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and prioritize project needs, develop and maintain technical documentation, and troubleshoot technical issues. Participation in code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding standards is expected. You will implement security measures to protect sensitive data and systems. The role requires strong hands‑on ABAP skills, including work on reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms. You will also support testing and deployment activities, and provide post‑implementation support. The role also involves close collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object‑Oriented ABAP, ALV Reports, Module Pool Programming, Data Dictionary, Function Modules, BAPIs, IDocs, RFCs, SmartForms, SAPScript, and Adobe Forms. Knowledge of enhancements (User Exits, BADIs) and performance tuning is required. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills are essential. Any graduate or postgraduate degree is acceptable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional and offshore teams are expected.
