SAP ABAP Consultant (TCS)

This SAP ABAP Consultant role at Tata Consultancy Services involves analyzing and resolving business-reported production issues in a support environment. You will perform debugging and identify root causes of application errors, fix code defects, and implement performance improvements. The position requires building and changing Reports, Forms, Function Modules, DDIC objects, and Conversion programs as per business requirements. You will analyze Functional Specifications and create Technical Specifications for development work. The role involves working independently and within a team environment. Experience working in support and implementation projects is preferred. You will develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and DDIC objects. Designing and developing OOPs based interactive reports using ABAP is required.

The ideal candidate must have 3-8 years of experience in SAP ABAP support with skills in OOPs, SmartForms, BDC, BADI, BTE, and User Exits. Experience working in support and implementation projects is preferred. Strong debugging and performance tuning skills are required. Exposure to SAP enhancements including BADI, BTE, User Exits, and Customer Exits is essential. Any graduate degree is acceptable.
