SAP ABAP Consultant (Senior)

This Senior SAP ABAP Consultant role at Westernacher Consulting involves leading design and development initiatives in S/4HANA programs. You will drive technical excellence, mentor teams, and ensure high‑quality solution delivery. Your responsibilities include developing ABAP RICEFW objects, collaborating with functional teams to define and deliver technical solutions, and preparing technical design documents. You will work on CDS views, OData services, enhancements, and integrations across SAP modules (MM/SD/FICO). The role also includes driving quality across implementation, rollout, and support phases, mentoring junior developers, and supporting code reviews. The role also involves close collaboration with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in ABAP & OOABAP, hands‑on experience in CDS, AMDP, OData, and performance optimization. Experience with enhancements, Adobe/Smart Forms, and strong exposure to S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA is required. Knowledge of SAP modules (MM/SD/FICO) and migration/conversion projects is essential. Preferred skills include RAP, BTP/Fiori, and team leadership. Any graduate or postgraduate degree is acceptable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional and offshore teams are expected.
