Role & responsibilities. We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in Core Data Services (CDS Views) and OData Services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP S/4HANA applications, building data models using CDS Views, exposing data through OData services, and collaborating with functional teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions.Key Responsibilities. Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP applications in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments. Develop and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) Views for reporting, analytics, and SAP Fiori applications. Create and maintain OData Services using SAP Gateway (SEGW) and expose backend data for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications. Develop Reports, ALV Reports, Module Pool Programs, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversions, Forms (SmartForms/Adobe Forms), and Workflows. Build and enhance ABAP Objects (OOABAP), Classes, Methods, Function Modules, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework objects. Develop and optimize database objects using Open SQL, CDS Views, AMDP (preferred), and SQL performance tuning techniques. Integrate SAP applications with external systems using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, IDocs, RFCs, and OData services. Perform debugging, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and code optimization. Collaborate with functional consultants to analyze business requirements and prepare technical design documents. Support SAP Fiori applications by developing and enhancing backend OData services. Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP development standards and Clean Core principles. Perform unit testing, integration testing, deployment, and post-production support. Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, and knowledge transfer documents. Required Skills. 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development. Hands-on expertise in developing CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption, Analytical CDS Views). Experience creating and enhancing OData Services using SAP Gateway (SEGW). Strong knowledge of OOABAP, ALV Reports, Dialog Programming, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements, and Interfaces. Experience with Open SQL, performance tuning, SQL Trace (ST05), Runtime Analysis (SAT), and Code Inspector. Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, RFC, IDocs, and ALE. Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 backend integration. Knowledge of Eclipse ADT and ABAP Development Tools. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
