Sap Abap Consultant

Magellanic Cloud is hiring a SAP ABAP Consultant for a hybrid Hyderabad-based role that leans heavily toward modern HANA and S/4HANA-native development rather than classic ECC ABAP work. You will design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP applications, building RICEF objects alongside Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts for output requirements across the business. A significant part of the role involves developing BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and OData services to support integration scenarios, working with CDS Views and AMDP for HANA-optimized development throughout. You will collaborate closely with functional teams to debug and resolve production issues as they arise, and supporting testing cycles rounds out the delivery responsibilities for this consultant-level position.

This role requires 3-8 years of SAP ABAP experience with strong exposure to OData services, SAP Gateway, and CDS Views for HANA-optimized development. Practical AMDP development skills are needed alongside experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments specifically, rather than legacy ECC alone. RICEF development skills are required, including Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, RFCs, and IDocs for output and integration work. Knowledge of User Exits, BAdIs, and the Enhancement Framework is expected for customization tasks. Strong Open SQL performance tuning and debugging skills are essential given the production-support component, and candidates should be comfortable supporting testing cycles alongside development.
