SAP ABAP Consultant

Ad Infotech is hiring an SAP ABAP Consultant in Chennai to develop and enhance SAP ECC functionality using BAdI, User Exit, and Enhancement Point or Spot techniques, extending standard SAP behavior to match specific client business requirements. Strong knowledge of the full RICEF development lifecycle is essential, covering Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms development across client engagements. Module Pool Programming proficiency supports custom transaction development where standard SAP screens are insufficient, while OData Services and object-oriented ABAP skills enable modern integration and Fiori-based user experiences. Working with CDS Views and Fiori UI reflects the role's exposure to newer SAP development approaches alongside traditional ECC-based enhancement work, giving developers exposure to both legacy and modern SAP technology stacks.

Candidates need 2-3 years of SAP ABAP consulting experience with strong knowledge of the RICEF development lifecycle and proven proficiency in Module Pool Programming. Hands-on experience with BAdI, User Exit, and Enhancement Point or Spot enhancement techniques is essential for extending SAP ECC functionality effectively. Familiarity with OData Services and object-oriented ABAP is required to support modern integration patterns, alongside working exposure to CDS Views and Fiori UI development. A B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering is required, reflecting the strong technical foundation this consulting role demands.
