Company: ATB Financial
Job Category: Salesforce
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
About the role
------------------
We are seeking an innovative, visionary, and highly autonomous Salesforce Devops Lead to join us as a key technical leader in guiding our engineering teams and establishing core platform practices.
As ATB’s next Salesforce DevOps Developer Lead, you will have the unique opportunity to provide technical leadership to scale and centralize our Salesforce capabilities into a unified, secure, and reliable platform. Bridging standard Salesforce operations with modern software engineering, you will engineer custom tooling, automate workflow and environment management, streamline deployments, and establish code quality and developer best practices. In this role, you will empower engineering teams through technical mentorship and project orchestration, enabling the safe and rapid delivery of business value.
* Provide technical leadership, oversight, and strategic alignment across multiple concurrent Salesforce projects and engineering initiatives.
* Mentor and coach team members in Salesforce development best practices, design patterns, and quality standards.
* Design, build, and optimize enterprise CI/CD release workflows and automation pipelines across Salesforce environments.
* Establish standardized deployment guardrails, quality gates, and automated release strategies to support predictable, high\-frequency delivery.
* Design and build custom developer tooling, automation scripts, and utilities that reduce technical friction and accelerate developer velocity.
* Streamline internal platform workflows to enable functional analysts, testers, and feature developers to operate self\-sufficiently.
* Own sandbox lifecycle management, including automated provisioning, refresh cycles, backups, and capacity monitoring across all development orgs.
* Define environment strategy and integration patterns to support multi\-sandbox system designs within enterprise constraints.
* Build automated sandbox data provisioning, database mocking patterns, and execution optimization tools to shorten developer feedback loops and accelerate unit testing cycles.
* Streamline continuous integration pipelines and environment readiness frameworks to empower engineering teams to validate code updates autonomously.
* Implement enterprise platform monitoring, proactive error alerting, and system health tracking across integrations, batch processing, and storage capacity.(e.g alert thresholds)
* Oversee platform compliance, security credential lifecycles, and data management/retention strategies.
* Maintain and update platform and release tooling (e.g Copado) with version updates, coordinating impact awareness across engineering teams.
Skills, experience \& requirements
--------------------------------------
* Technical Leader \& Mentor: Strong track record of guiding engineering teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring developers, and coordinating technical deliverables across complex, multi\-project environments.
* Self\-Directed Builder: Proven capability to operate independently in an unestablished environment, translating broad team charter pillars into actionable projects without step\-by\-step guidance.
* Visionary \& Problem Solver: Ability to look beyond immediate friction points, identify root causes across the platform, and design enterprise\-wide solutions.
* Collaborative Influencer: Comfort working closely with Tech Leads, QA Leads, and Integration Leads to understand pain points, advocate for DevOps best practices, and refine team backlogs.
We’re dedicated to building a workforce reflective of those within our communities, and a culture where our team members are equipped with what they need to succeed—their way. Part of creating an inclusive workplace is recognizing our role in advancing Truth and Reconciliation. We are committed to meeting and exceeding the standards set out in the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations program created by the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business.
