standards and industry regulations Minimum Experience Job-Specific Skills * Risk and Contingency Assessment: Identify potential cost risks, estimate contingencies where appropriate, and highlight financial assumptions and exclusions in project estimates. * Variation and Change Order Assessment: Evaluate the cost impact of design changes, scope variations, additional works, and contractual amendments, and prepare supporting cost documentation. * Tender and BOQ Preparation: Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), pricing schedules, and detailed cost breakdowns for tenders, quotations, and engineering proposals. * Technical Document Review: Review drawings, P&IDs, technical specifications, scope of work, and tender documents to identify project requirements and ensure accurate cost estimation. * Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. * Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience. * 1 year of experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation, including preparing, reviewing, and managing cost estimates and project budgets. * Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail and financial management abilities. * Proficiency in quantity surveying and cost estimation software, as well as the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel. * Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents. * Good understanding of quantity take-offs, cost breakdowns, supplier quotations, and budget monitoring. * Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to prepare clear technical and commercial reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
