Job Title: Purchase Manager Company: Integra software solution Pvt ltd SAP Module: SAP MM Roles & Responsibilities: purchase manager A Purchase Manager oversees an organization's entire procurement and buying workflow, ensuring the cost-effective and timely acquisition of raw materials, goods, equipment, and services. Core Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), while negotiating pricing, bulk discounts, credit terms, and service contracts. Inventory & Supply Chain Control: Monitor stock levels, forecast future demand patterns, and coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to prevent shortages or costly overstocking. Purchase Order Management: Review purchase requisitions, process purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and ensure goods meet required quality standards and specifications. Cost Optimization & Budgeting: Track market price fluctuations (such as raw materials or components), control department budgets, and generate monthly management information system (MIS) and cost reports. ERP & Compliance: Maintain digital procurement records, implement ERP systems (like SAP or Odoo), and ensure all purchases comply with statutory requirements, tax laws (such as GST), and company audit policies. Key Skills & Requirements Qualifications: Degrees in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Commerce, or Business Administration, often paired with a postgraduate diploma in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management. Experience: Typically ranges from 5 to 12+ years in procurement, vendor development, or materials management depending on company size. Competencies: Strong negotiation tactics, financial and commercial acumen, familiarity with ERP tools, and deep knowledge of local or regional vendor networks.
