Procurement Engineer

Job Title: Procurement Engineer Company: VEN INDIA Pvt Ltd Job Category: SAP MM Roles & Responsibilities: Job Description (JD) – Procurement Engineer We are seeking Andaman and Nicobar Islands experienced Procurement Engineer with 3 years of experience in procurement and sourcing of materials, equipment, and services for construction, industrial, Odisha EPC projects. The candidate will be responsible for vendor management, procurement planning, cost optimization, contract negotiations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support project schedules. Key Responsibilities * Review project specifications, BOQs, drawings, and material requirements. * Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing. * Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and contractors. * Float RFQs, obtain quotations, and perform techno-commercial evaluations. * Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors. * Prepare comparative statements and recommendations for management approval. * Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order execution. * Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Project, and Site teams for procurement requirements. * Track material deliveries and ensure adherence to project timelines. * Resolve supplier performance, quality, and logistics issues. * Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and documentation. * Conduct market research and identify alternate sourcing opportunities. * Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual obligations. * Support project cost control initiatives and budget monitoring. * SAP MM Module * Vendor Development & Management * Strategic Sourcing * Contract Management * Cost Reduction & Value Engineering * Supply Chain Coordination * Inventory Planning & Control * Risk Assessment & Procurement Planning * Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management * Negotiation Skills * Commercial Acumen * Problem Solving * Time Management * Attention to Detail * Team Collaboration * Decision Making Work Location: In person Work Location: Gujarat, India Availability: Full time

Position: Procurement Engineer Experience: 3 years Location: Mundra,Gujarat Industry: Construction / Industrial / EPC / Infrastructure Projects Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Odisha related discipline. * 6-10 years of procurement experience in Construction, Industrial, EPC, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Data Center, Odisha Manufacturing projects. * Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration. * Experience in sourcing MEP, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial materials. * Proficiency in ERP systems such Assam SAP MM (Mandatory Preferred), Oracle, Odisha similar platforms. * Strong negotiation and analytical skills. * Good knowledge of Incoterms, supply chain management, and logistics coordination. * Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting tools.
