Procurement Engineer

Job Title: Procurement Engineer Company: SANPAR Industries Pvt ltd Job Category: SAP MM Roles & Responsibilities: JOB DESCRIPTION Purchase / Procurement / Vendor Development Engineer Department Head – Procurement / General Manager – Technical / Director SANPAR Industries Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Purchase / Procurement / Vendor Development Engineer to manage end\-to\-end sourcing, procurement, and vendor development for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and fabricated components used in compressed air treatment systems, industrial cooling and dehumidification equipment, precision air conditioning units, and aerospace\-grade liquid cooling systems. The role requires close coordination with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure timely, cost\-effective, and compliant sourcing in line with AS 9100D, DGAQA, and CEMILAC requirements applicable to defence and aerospace programs. Key Responsibilities ● Maintain procurement records, purchase registers, and MIS reports for management review. ● Coordinate with stores and quality teams for material inward inspection, GRN processing, and non\-conformance resolution. Vendor Development \& Management ● Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for critical and long\-lead items, including special processes (plating, heat treatment, NDT, welding) relevant to defence/aerospace hardware. ● Drive vendor performance monitoring through scorecards covering on\-time delivery, quality rejection rates, and responsiveness; initiate corrective actions where required. ● Develop alternate/backup sources for single\-source or high\-risk items to mitigate supply chain risk. ● Support indigenisation initiatives for imported components in line with Make\-in\-India and defence procurement policy objectives. Cost Management \& Negotiation ● Support annual rate contracts (ARCs) and framework agreements with key vendors to stabilise input costs. ● Maintain purchase specifications, part numbering (per SOP\-ENG\-001\), drawings, and technical documentation in coordination with engineering. ● Ensure import procurement complies with FEMA, Authorized Dealer bank norms, and applicable customs/FTP regulations; support FX and payment strategy decisions for overseas vendors. ● Coordinate with Production Planning to align procurement schedules with manufacturing and project delivery timelines. ● Support Finance with vendor payment schedules, advance payment tracking, and procurement budget reporting. ● B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or Production Engineering (mandatory). MBA in Materials/Supply Chain Management is an added advantage. ● Strong vendor relationship management and supplier audit capability. Engineer / Senior Engineer (based on experience) ● Ensure procurement activity complies with AS 9100D, DGAQA, and CEMILAC requirements, including traceability, certificate of conformance (CoC), and material test certificate (MTC) collection from vendors. ● Work closely with Design/Engineering to convert BOM and technical requirements into procurable specifications. Qualifications \& Experience Key Skills \& Competencies ● Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP\-based procurement modules; strong documentation and reporting discipline.
