Plant Cost Accountant

Department: Accounts. Qualification: CMA / ICWA. Job Summary:. We are looking for a Plant Cost Accountant with 25 years of experience in manufacturing finance and cost accounting. The candidate will be responsible for product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, plant MIS, budgeting support, and monitoring manufacturing costs. The role requires close coordination with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure accurate costing and effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities:. Prepare product cost sheets and manufacturing cost reports. Monitor material, labor, and overhead costs. Perform BOM validation and cost estimation. Analyze material consumption and production variances. Carry out monthly inventory valuation and stock reconciliation. Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Prepare plant MIS reports and cost performance dashboards. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and standard cost updates. Monitor cost center expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Coordinate with production, stores, procurement, and finance departments. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Support internal and statutory audits. Required Skills:.
