Planning & Monitoring Lead (Roads - O&M)

Purpose/Objective. PMAG Lead (Roads) is responsible to provide strategic advisory services, implementing best practices, and developing methodologies for effective project management. Also, oversees the execution of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, this role involves managing contracts, handling changes in project scope, and maintaining stakeholder relationships to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role. Strategic Project Planning and Scheduling: - Design and maintain the integrity of the project schedule throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare a comprehensive Master Schedule and track project milestones. Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to financial plans. Develop planning controls for various project levels and allocate resources effectively. Create engineering schedules and coordinate with the Project Team to prepare vendor packages. Project Management and Implementation: - Oversee the project from conceptualization to implementation, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Ensure compliance with the project schedule, managing deliverables, and implementing corrective actions for any shortfalls. Evaluate and manage project hours distribution and maintain records of project progress. Conduct frequent review meetings to assess project performance and address any issues. Monitor resource allocation and usage, ensuring optimal deployment and cost efficiency. Oversee the daily follow-up of activities, including staff deployment and machinery utilization. Quality and Compliance: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality assurance for all project activities. Ensure all construction sites and vendor schedules adhere to the master schedule. Evaluate the efficiency of schedule plants and machinery. Contract and Resource Management: - Monitor the procedure for handling changes in project scope, ensuring proper documentation and approval. Facilitate contractual correspondence between clients and contractors, addressing issues and ensuring compliance. Escalate issues as per contract terms and ensure timely resolution. Design and manage material requirements for smooth project execution. Monitor all construction activities and perform regular audits on plans. Design an effective progress reporting mechanism. Evaluate man-hours spent on various activities and prepare accurate reports. Manage communication regarding any schedule disruptions. Stakeholder Management and Reporting: - Review Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) and Daily Progress Reports (DPR) to track project performance. Maintain accurate records of project activities and provide inputs for MIS compliance. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and external agencies to ensure project requirements are met and to identify new business opportunities. Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders Team Leadership and Development: - Provide training and support to team members by evaluating TNI. Participate in process engineering meetings and support process control operations. Identify and resolve project implementation issues and provide insights to resolve it.
