Role & responsibilities:

Job Purpose:

- Design & lead the development & deployment of solutions that leverage data sciences & advanced analytics to drive incremental value for a retail business.

- Be responsible for working on multiple use cases at the same time.

- Analyse and model structured data using advanced statistical methods and implement algorithms and software needed to perform analysis.

- Manage the continuous improvement of data science / ML by following industry & stayingup to date.

- Develop and recommend process standards & best practices in ML.

- Build relevant new capabilities in advanced analytics and machine learning.

- Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional or technical discipline or specialty, but may manage two or fewer employees.

- May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage process and programs.

Skills required:

- Relevant new capabilities in advanced analytics and machine learning.

- Strong experience in exploratory data analyses, ML experiment design, statistical testing and frameworks.

- Expertise in tools required to execute a data science project SQL, Python, ML algorithms, Ms Excel.

- Synthesizing findings and insights through effective story telling through visualization tools such as Power BI & Ms Powerpoint.

Work Experience:

- Retail or Ecommerce domain is preferable.

- Experience working in scrum teams with Agile tools like JIRA.

- Expertise in using Cloud solutions(AWS, Azure, etc.) for deploying data science projects.

Position Relationships:

- Manage the continuous improvement of data science / ML by following industry & staying up to date.
