Junior Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant Company: Maven Contracting and Services W.L.L SAP Module: SPP PP Roles & Responsibilities: About the Role Key Responsibilities: * Record and maintain daily accounting transactions accurately. * Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable. * Prepare and issue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments. * Maintain proper records of petty cash and expenses. * Assist with bank reconciliations and daily banking transactions. * Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and accounting statements. * Verify invoices, payment requests, receipts, and supporting documents. * Maintain accurate and organized accounting files and records. * Assist with payroll-related accounting and employee expense records. * Support the preparation of documents required for VAT, audits, and other financial requirements. * Coordinate with project, procurement, and administration teams regarding financial and accounting matters. * Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the management. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field * Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience in Qatar * Fluent in English (spoken and written) * Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) * Solid understanding of accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting * Familiarity with Qatar labor law and payroll processing is preferred * Valid QID and should be transferable * Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines * Good communication and organizational skills Key Skills: Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable Salary: QAR 3000 - 4000 per monthly
