IN Application Developer - SAP ABAP

This SAP ABAP Application Developer role at Align Techne involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, conversions, forms, workflows, and custom developments. You will analyze technical requirements and design scalable SAP ABAP solutions that align with business and functional specifications, develop integration components using BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, OData services, and other SAP communication technologies. Daily responsibilities include performing code reviews, debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization to ensure reliable and efficient application performance, collaborating with functional consultants to deliver technical enhancements, supporting implementation, migration, upgrade, and enhancement projects, and preparing technical documentation. The team also values individuals who can adapt quickly to new tools and evolving business requirements while contributing to a strong engineering culture.

The ideal candidate must have 7+ years of total experience with 5+ relevant years in SAP ABAP with ODATA, OOABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP skills. Any graduate or postgraduate degree is acceptable. Familiarity with change management practices and a track record of successful stakeholder engagement across diverse business units is preferred. Prior experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to internal knowledge repositories will also be viewed favorably. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
