Job Title: Hiring Coveo Search Architect Company: Haparz Job Category: Machine Learning Roles & Responsibilities: Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Coveo Search Architect to design, implement, and optimise enterprise search solutions across B2B/B2C commerce, digital experience, and enterprise content platforms. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on Coveo implementation expertise with strong architectural leadership, relevance engineering, data integration, and search-quality optimisation. The candidate should have delivered at least one complete Coveo implementation from discovery and architecture through production deployment and continuous optimisation. Key Responsibilities * Own the end-to-end architecture and technical delivery of Coveo-powered product, content, and enterprise search solutions. * Conduct discovery workshops with business, merchandising, UX, engineering, and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable search architectures. * Design Coveo organisations, sources, connectors, catalogues, fields, mappings, indexing pipelines, security identities, query pipelines, analytics, and machine-learning configurations. * Architect secure and reliable data ingestion using Coveo connectors, Push API, Stream API, scheduled feeds, and incremental indexing strategies. * Design B2B/B2C commerce search experiences covering products, SKUs, variants, facets, sorting, multilingual content, customer-specific catalogues, pricing, and entitlement-based access. * Define search relevance strategies using ranking expressions, query rules, query ranking expressions (QREs), dictionaries, filters, boosts, semantic retrieval, and machine-learning-assisted ranking. * Guide front-end search implementation using Coveo Headless, Atomic, Search APIs, and integrations with commerce, CMS, CRM, and enterprise platforms. * Lead migrations from Solr or Elasticsearch to Coveo, including schema mapping, ingestion redesign, relevance benchmarking, validation, cutover, and rollback planning. * Establish architecture standards for performance, scalability, availability, security, privacy, observability, and production support. * Create solution architecture documents, technical specifications, estimates, implementation roadmaps, and integration designs. * Lead technical reviews, mentor engineering teams, resolve complex production issues, and communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders. * Develop or guide Python-based extensions and supporting automation where required by the solution. * 0 years of experience in software engineering, enterprise search, digital platforms, or commerce solutions. * At least 4 years in an architect, solution architect, or senior technical-lead capacity. * Proven hands-on delivery of at least one end-to-end Coveo implementation, including production rollout and optimisation. * Strong knowledge of Coveo architecture, indexing, connectors, data modelling, query pipelines, security, analytics, relevance tuning, and machine learning. * Practical experience with product and content search, B2B/B2C commerce, product variants, facets, multilingual search, customer-specific catalogues, and entitlement filtering. * Experience integrating Coveo with platforms such as Adobe Commerce, AEM, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce, Sitecore, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Intershop, or custom applications. * Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication and authorisation protocols, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern UI frameworks, Python, cloud environments, CI/CD, and production operations. * Ability to lead architecture workshops, provide estimates, present technical recommendations, and manage stakeholder expectations. Required Experience and Expertise Preferred Experience * Solr-to-Coveo or Elasticsearch-to-Coveo migration experience. * Experience with Coveo Headless, Atomic components, Search APIs, and commerce integrations. * Experience with Python extensions, advanced indexing automation, and search observability. * Exposure to search-quality metrics, experimentation, relevance evaluation, and machine-learning-assisted ranking.
