HDPE Machine Operator

Job Title: HDPE Machine Operator Company: Naukri E-hire SAP Module: SAP PP Roles & Responsibilities: The HDPE Pipe Operator will be responsible for independently operating and monitoring HDPE pipe extrusion machines, ensuring smooth production, consistent product quality, efficient machine performance, and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HDPE pipe extrusion and manufacturing, with the ability to manage machine settings, monitor critical process parameters, troubleshoot common production issues, and achieve daily production targets. Key Responsibilities * Operate and monitor HDPE pipe extrusion machines safely and efficiently. * Set and operate extrusion lines according to required pipe specifications, sizes, pressure classes, and production plans. * Handle machine start-up, shutdown, changeover, and process adjustments. * Monitor temperature, pressure, line speed, cooling, extrusion output, and other critical process parameters. * Ensure proper raw material feeding and maintain consistent production quality. * Monitor pipe dimensions, thickness, weight, appearance, and other quality parameters during production. * Identify and troubleshoot common machine and process-related issues to minimize downtime. * Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams for smooth production operations. * Ensure production is carried out as per approved specifications and daily production targets. * Maintain accurate production records, machine parameters, rejection details, and shift reports. * Minimize material wastage, rejection, and production losses. * Assist with basic machine maintenance and promptly report technical abnormalities to the Maintenance team. * Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the production area. * Strictly follow company safety procedures and safe operating practices. * Support the Production Supervisor and management in achieving production, quality, efficiency, and safety targets. Key Performance Areas (KPIs) * Achievement of daily production targets. * Product quality and reduction in rejection. * Machine efficiency and uptime. * Control of material wastage and production losses. * Correct machine parameter setting and process stability. * Compliance with safety, production, and quality procedures. * Housekeeping and 5S compliance. * Accurate production and shift reporting. Educational Qualification ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification in Mechanical, Plastic Technology, Production, or a related field will be preferred. Experience * 0-1 years of experience in HDPE pipe extrusion/manufacturing. * Candidates with practical experience operating HDPE Pipe Extrusion Machines will be preferred. Compensation Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, technical capability, interview performance, and overall suitability for the role.
