Job Title: General Mechanical Technician / Millwright – Rotary Equipment Company: Oil and Gas EPC SAP Module: SAP ABAP Roles & Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities * Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of rotary equipment. * Overhaul and maintain pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, gearboxes and mechanical drives. * Perform shaft and coupling alignment using laser alignment tools and dial indicators. * Inspect and replace bearings, mechanical seals, couplings and other equipment components. * Troubleshoot vibration, overheating, lubrication, leakage and equipment-performance issues. * Carry out equipment dismantling, inspection, repair, reassembly and testing. * Read equipment drawings, maintenance manuals and technical procedures. * Execute maintenance activities in compliance with the Permit-to-Work system. * Record maintenance notifications, work orders and equipment history through SAP PM. * Follow all project HSE procedures and safe working practices. GSO Qatar is seeking experienced General Mechanical Technicians / Millwrights specialising in rotary equipment maintenance, alignment and troubleshooting for its project in Qatar. Qualifications and Experience * Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology or a related trade. * 0 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, refinery or petrochemical facilities. * Strong hands-on experience in rotary equipment maintenance, overhaul, alignment and troubleshooting. * Practical knowledge of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, bearings, seals and lubrication systems. * Experience with Permit-to-Work systems is mandatory. * Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) is required. * NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or another relevant safety certification is preferred. * Previous GCC experience will be an advantage.
